Minor in Global Studies and
Maritime Affairs
The minor in Global Studies and
Maritime Affairs is designed to give
students an in-depth overview of issues
relating to global maritime policy.
Students are required to take nine units
of courses in history, ocean issues, and
theories related to the political and/or
economic foundations of global
relations. Students then specialize by
taking six units of electives in areas
of global maritime policy of specific
interest to them.
