Weather Info
May 29, 2005
Greetings shipmates! A high pressure
system continues to build over southeast Australia along
with a low pressure system over New Zealand. The pressure
difference will cause a flow of cool air through Sydney and
coastal waters over the next couple of days. Temperatures
will begin to fall into the low 60’s to high 50’s as we
approach our destination. The funnel clouds that were seen
this morning were due to the ship transiting close to a
vigorous cold front. Currently there is a gale warning SE
of Sydney. This means we can expect winds and swells to
increase moderately before we reach Sydney.
