FOR NEW STUDENTS:

Scholarships for First Time Freshmen
All first-time freshmen students are automatically considered for Cal Maritime scholarships before they enroll by the Office of Admission; no separate applications are necessary. These scholarships include Futures Scholars, a few Athletic Scholarships, and the WUE for out-of state students.

If you are from a western state other than California, you may be eligible for a WUE (Western Educational Exchange) Scholarship. For this scholarship, students must apply to Cal Maritime during the priority-filing period of October 1 to November 30. No separate application is necessary. Winners are notified in their acceptance letters (mid-January).

California Maritime awards the The Captain David Lyman Scholarship annually to a student from Hawaii. This year's awardee has already been chosen by the Lyman Scholarship committee.
