Directions to the Admission Office: Visitors should turn right on Faculty Drive immediately after entering the campus gate. Go up the hill and the Admission Office will be the first building (house) on the right.
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES:
- Campus tours and information sessions are available Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Office of Admission.
- Preview Day - Prospective students and their families are invited to attend our annual Preview Day, Saturday, November 14, 2009. Please click here for more information.
- The best time to visit Cal Maritime is from September 10th to April 20th.
- Check the academic calendar for holidays and breaks in the academic year. In addition, the Office of Admission will be closed on the following days due to campus furlough days: September 25, October 2, October 16, November 6, November 20, December 4, December 22-24, January 4, January 15, February 12, February 26, March 12, March 26, April 2, April 16, May 14, May 28, June 11, and June 25.
- While tours are conducted during the four months from May through August, there are few, if any, cadets on campus, and the Training Ship GOLDEN BEAR is at sea and unavailable for tours.
ALL VISITORS : the information requested below must be done in advance of your campus visit to comply with federal security regulations relating to visits aboard our training ship. Information for all members of your group, submitted in advance, helps us pre-clear you for shipboard visits (when the ship is available.) You will need to bring a valid photo-ID such as a current driver's license for presentation to the ship security officer at boarding.
NOTE: Access to the ship is via a sloping hand-railed gangway ladder to and from from the campus pier. To visit the vessel, you must be physically able to negotiate this gangway, steep stairways, and high door sills aboard ship.
