Ethics and Conflict of Interest
Training
All California State University (CSU)
employees in designated positions who,
as a result of the CSU Conflict of
Interest (COI) code, are required to
file a Form 700 (Statement of Economic
Interests), must complete a
comprehensive ethics regulations and
conflict of interest code training
program. Training must be completed
within six months of appointment in a
designated position, and at least once
during each consecutive period of two
calendar years following the appointment
in a designated position.
The approximately two-hour online
training program includes: a working
terminology for conflict of interest;
understanding the Political Reform Act
of 1974; evaluating your economic
interests; analyzing potential
conflicts; contractual conflict and
incompatible activities; and getting
your questions answered.
Participants are required to print and
submit the completion certificate to the
campus COI filing officer within five
days of completing the training. Access
