Using Contribute to Create and Modify Web Pages
Content on the campus website is updated and maintained through Adobe Contribute. Contribute is a WYSIWYG(What You See is What you Get) web editor; no prior web design or HTML coding knowledge is needed. To get started, follow the steps below.
1.Install Adobe Contribute Software
- Download and Install your version of Contribute.

- Currently Contribute can only be installed on CMA maintained machines.
2.Go through Tutorial
The tutorial will give you a basic working knowledge of Contribute and tell you how to access the software. It also contains important instructions on how to use the supplied templates to create a consistent look at feel for your web site and insure accessibility
3. Print Accessibility Guide As a Reference
By Law, every new web page added to the CMA site must be accessible to viewers with disabilities.This guide will give you tips to insure your page passes the accessibility test. Refer to it as you design your page.
4. Use Wave Editor to Check Web Page Accessibility
Wave Web Page Accessibility Checker
Enter the web site address (URL) of your page into this tool. If you see any red "errors", your page does not pass!
5. Use Colour Contrast Analyser
If you have any text colors on your page that you feel might not contrast enough, and might be hard to read use this tool to check. If you stick to the CMA fonts and colors, then you will NOT have to use this tool.
