ServSafe Alcohol®,
Fundamentals of Responsible Alcohol
Service
The ServSafe Alcohol®
seminar is
conducted semi-annually by a ServSafe
Alcohol®
Instructor certified by the
National Restaurant Association
Educational Foundation. Upon the
conclusion of the seminar, students are
assessed on their knowledge of the
learning outcomes by taking the ServSafe
Alcohol®
Primary Examination.
The alcohol awareness seminar is part of
a student’s co-curricular programming
for professional development training
(one of the six pillars of our
leadership development program) where
the following learning outcomes are
realized by utilizing three of our four
leadership learning opportunities –
leadership education, leadership
training, and leadership development.
By participating in a certified alcohol
awareness program, the students heighten
their self awareness giving each student
an increased capability to manage a
variety of social situations. For student leaders, this
compliments other programs that place
them in an environment that encourages
self-regulation and accountability.
