The Leadership Gold Medal Award Program

The Leadership Gold Medal Award program is a combination of three components - a certification program, participation in a coaching program, and completion of a self-portfolio.

This program is optional for all cadets.  This program does not replace the required Leadership Certification Program, but is in addition to it.  However, successful completion of the mandatory components of the Gold Medal program insures successful completion of the required Certification Program.

Cadets successfully completing the annual Gold Medal program requirements will be acknowledged in a Corps of Cadets ceremony and receive a ribbon and certificate to commemorate their accomplishment.  Additionally, cadets successfully completing three years of this program and entering into their First Class year at Cal Maritime will receive a larger uniform device to commemorate their accomplishment.
