Association of Marine Underwriters of
San Francisco Provides $5,000
Scholarship to Cal Maritime
The Marine Underwriters of San
Francisco recently provided a $5,000
scholarship fund contribution to Cal
Maritime, which will allow scholarships
to be awarded to current students.
The check was presented to Cal Maritime
president Bill Eisenhardt at the
Association’s annual dinner. Cal
Maritime was chosen to receive the
scholarship funds because of its direct
relationship with the marine industry
and the fact that many graduates are
currently employed in marine insurance.
“We are very grateful to the Association
of Marine Underwriters of San Francisco
for their generous contribution and
commitment to our students,” said Dr.
Eisenhardt. “We have a number of
outstanding students in need of
financial help on campus. These
scholarship funds will be greatly
appreciated.”
The Association of Marine Underwriters
of San Francisco was established in
1885, in order to promote harmony,
fellowship and professionalism in the
ocean marine insurance industry. The
Association is actively involved in
continuing education for its members and
offers marine-oriented classes
throughout the year in a variety of
subjects germane to the ocean marine
insurance industry.
Thank you, Association of Marine
Underwriters of San Francisco, for your
support of Cal Maritime and its
students.
