Welcome to Cal Maritime
This web cam is mounted on top of the dorm building overlooking our
beautiful Cal Maritime campus. On a bright, sunny day, you can see the new Alfred Zampa Memorial Bridge, completed November 8, 2003. This is the first major
suspension bridge to be built in the U.S. in 30 years, and the first one in
California since the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge were completed in
1936 and 1937.
Also, if it is in
port, you can see Cal Maritime's training ship, the Golden Bear at berth in
the center of the picture. If she is not at berth, chances are the
Golden Bear is away on summer training cruise. If so, you can
Follow the
Voyage via this website location.
If you are visiting this camera at night,
you won't see much! Visit us again during the day. |
