Forecast:

Hey everyone  weather should be good. Winds should be North to North Easterly at  15-20kts. Expect North Easterly swells less than 8 feet. Due to a  stationary low, expect to see some high to middle clouds with a chance of  rain as we approach Guadalupe Island. Expect to see the marine layer a  couple days off the coast so make sure celestial is done! Have a jolly  good ol’ time at the BBQ tonight.

Talent  Show and Sinbad Games

The Sinbad games  have grown out of the events which used to surround the crossing of the  equator.  Competition between divisions in elements of seamanship and  engineering are organized. The competition is usually held on one of the  last Sundays at sea.  Competitors in each event receive points which are  totaled by division.  At the end of the day, the results are announced  during the BBQ.

This year, Elvis  made an appearance at the last night BBQ, and division 3-E was announced  the winner of 2002-2 Sinbad games.
