Off Campus Housing
Policy Statement
It is the policy of the California
Maritime Academy that students enrolled
in its baccalaureate degree programs
maintain residence on campus and
participate in a meal plan.
Off Campus Housing
All requests for an exception to the
policy must be submitted to the Director
of Housing & Residential Life February 1
– March 1 which is prior to the room
selection process. Applicants will be
notified of their status by March 15 so
that if denied they could participate in
room selection process. Requests for
exceptions to the policy are not
considered after August 1. All requests
to live off campus must include
appropriate documentation to verify
circumstances. The student must be in
good standing: not on academic probation
or conduct probation or have any
outstanding alcohol violations. A final
condition of approval is that all CMA
accounts must be paid in full or
accounts must be in good standing as
verified by the Accounting Office. Any
