Married for 28 years.  My wife, Susan, and I have three children:  Connor recently graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and is now attending flight school at Pensacola, FL; Elaine is a sophomore at University College Cork in Cork, Ireland; and Trevor is a senior at Vanden High School and plans to follow his brother through the Naval Academy.  Our home is on 2½ acres, where we keep two horses, two cows, a llama, two cats, a dog, and chickens!  My wife and I enjoy horseback riding and volunteer with the Sheriff’s Department Mounted Search and Rescue Unit.  I completed a 30-year career in the Naval Reserve where I served in a number of units, including a Special Boat Unit, a Maintenance Activity, and the Merchant Marine Reserve Program, attaining the rank of Captain.  We enjoy traveling and my wife and I have left our footprints in Europe, South America, and the Far East.  We have been taking Spanish classes for the last couple of years and plan to spend 3 or 4 months in Mexico this spring to become fluent.  I enjoy backpacking and fishing, but don’t get to do as much of either as I would like.

I grew up in the small, but wonderful state of Delaware, with my two sisters and one brother.   After high school, I attended Kings Point and graduated in 1996.  Upon graduation, I joined the Coast Guard and served 5½ years active duty.  Just this past January, I decided to switch careers and now I’m working at CMA.  I’ve lived in Alameda for the past 4 years with my husband, Todd, and in my spare time I enjoy running, shopping, and baking.
