Please note: Cal Maritime's Admission Office will be open for the President's Holidays, but closed for Cesear Chavez Day on March 31. In addition, there will be no classes during Spring Break on February 28 & 29.
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES: Daily campus tours and information sessions are available Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Office of Admission. The best time to visit Cal Maritime is for September 10th to April 15th with students on campus. Check the
academic calendar for holidays and breaks in the academic year.
GENERAL VISITORS WISHING A TOUR: Please note the above general tour days and times and again note that the best time for tours is during the September to April period when cadets are on campus. The training ship Golden Bear is at sea for a four-month period from May through August of each year.
ALL VISITORS : the information requested below must be done in advance of your campus visit to comply with federal security regulations relating to visits aboard our training ship. Information for all members of your group, submitted in advance, helps us pre-clear you for shipboard visits (when the ship is available.) You will need to bring a valid photo-ID such as a current driver's license for presentation to the ship security officer at boarding.
NOTE: Access to the ship is via a sloping hand-railed gangway ladder to and from from the campus pier. To visit the vessel, you must be physically able to negotiate this gangway and some steep stairways aboard ship.
