Important Information for
2009-2010
>>>What to Pay
The
total account balance
is due on or before the published due
date, including the
fees for cruise if
you are enrolled in
those courses. The balance on account does
not reflect
financial aid awarded
but not yet posted
to your account. You
may deduct the
amount of financial aid
awarded and accepted, but
not reflected in your account balance,
paying only the
remaining
amount. If it is later
determined that your pending financial aid will not be awarded or accepted, the balance is due
immediately plus any
related late
payment fees.
STUDENT FEE DISCLAIMER - The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees.
>>>When to Pay
The due date to pay fees for Spring 2010 is December 8, 2010. Meal cards for resident students will be activated after all fees are paid in full or you have sufficient financial aid awarded and accepted or have an approved Installment
Payment Plan
Agreement. A late
payment fee will be
assessed on balances
not paid in full by
the due date. A
hold will be placed
on your account to
prevent further
enrollment activity and
your meal card will
be revoked until
payment is
made.
You are responsible for confirming your enrollment and remitting your payment by the due date. CMA will mail a postcard notifying you when fees are available to view online and the payment due date. CMA does not mail fee statements. Check your account
balance regularly at Online
Services. Payment due dates,
financial aid
activity and student
account activity is
updated regularly.
Enrollment activity
(adding or dropping
classes) may affect
your account
balance. You are
responsible for
reviewing your
account and paying your
balance. You
are also responsible for
following up with Financial Aid to make
sure all your
Financial Aid documents
are completed so
that your award is
ready to apply to
your account by the
fee due
date.
In Spring 2009, Cal Maritime introduced a new statement format called “e-bills”. To view your E-Bill statement - my statement - you’ll need your 9-digit CMA Student ID number and the last four digits of your social security number. If you do not have a social security number, your password is the MMDD of your birth. Select "Your Account" from the top navigation bar and then select "Your Bills".
If you would like a parent or other responsible party to receive notices, you can setup a login for them on the "Your Account" page under "Parent PINs". Be sure to include their email address and check the box that allows them to receive billing notifications. When a statement is ready to view, each of you will receive an email notification.
If you have any questions about your statement or need more information about setting up a login for another party, please contact us at StudentAccounts@csum.edu or visit us at the Cashier's Office.
Thank you for keeping your account current!
