Weather Info

DATE: May 3, 2006

As we travel closer to Cabo San Lucas the weather continues to improve. The temperature will be in the high 60’s to low 70’s and the wind will be under 20 kts, with seas of less then 8 ft, combing for an altogether calm atmosphere. There is still an expected cover marine status clouds, but it is likely to disperse by tomorrow afternoon/evening once we enter the warmer waters at the end of Baja. There is, however, a group of tropical clouds that could become a problem, but they are likely to spin off onto the mainland and not affect us at all. Good luck to all the celestial observers onboard.
Meteorologists: Amy Martin and Billy Dick

Cadet Meteorologists Martin and Dick are seen here using Weather News Inc.'s Orion Pro weather routing program to determine at what point along our track sea surface temperatures will increase, improving the chances that our persistent marine overcast will clear and celestial navigation can begin.
