West winds a gentle 4-5 mph in the morning building to <15 mph in the afternoons and a few clouds may be overhead, but not to worry they should be passing.   Enjoy your port time.
Meteorologists Andrew Hubbard and Tamara Göhre

Cadet Göhre and Cadet Hubbard refilling the reservoir for wet bulb thermometer. The comparison between the wet bulb and the dry bulb thermometer allows the mariner to calculate dew point, or how much water vapor is present in the air. When the wet bulb and dry bulb temperatures are close, watch out for fog. Fog is rare in the equatorial regions, but as the Golden Bear heads down the coast toward Chile the cadets will be able to predict when fog will form.
