WEATHER FORECAST

The swells will continue to decrease over the next few days. The wind will be coming from the southwest and then turning to the southeast tomorrow with speeds ranging from fifteen to twenty-five knots. Keep your sextants ready because patches of clear skies will remain. A high pressure system will follow as we progress northward which means the weather should remain constant.

Mets: Ruddell and Montgomery

All crew members are reminded that the overheads are NOT to be used as a storage area.  Only authorized personnel are to access the space above overheads.

Drill de-briefing – 1830 Sunday

De-brief – Sunday at 1830, Ericcson classroom.  Cadets Campbell, Alexander, Asdulla, Schindler, Andros and Glasser are required to attend. All other E-squad cadets are invited to attend.  All E-squad Limitations and Repair Party PIC’s, your presence is requested.

1/C Deckies – Due to weather concerns, I have eased the celestial program pre-test-out submission requirements.  I have placed test out forms for those now eligible in the out box, which will be distributed by the day navigator.  If the weather continues to be a problem, the program may be further modified, but please avail your self of every available opportunity, including AM stars.  2/M

Corps Corner

·  Captain’s Mast is scheduled for 1830 on 3 June in the Asst Comdt’s Office.

·  At 2030, 3 Jun, in Miller classroom, there will be a meeting for all 1/c MTs who were boat coxswains in Zihuatanejo.

·  Underclass mess drink dispensers:  Someone has been tampering with the electrical side of the juice machine and the water side of all the machines.  While this is not only dangerous, it does nothing for the normal operation of the machines.  If they break, the engineers do not have the parts to fix them.  Treat them with respect – if they don’t work correctly, let the galley staff or MAA know – don’t try to fix them yourselves.

·  This happened again last night with the juice machine in the upperclass mess.  As a result, the juice machine is now electrically tagged out and is not available for use.

·  There is a Corps meeting tonight at 1930 in the Ericson classroom to discuss the upcoming visit to Cocos, Island.

·  As a reminder, overheads in rooms are not to be used for storage.  Access to the overhead is only conducted with the permission of the C/M or C/E.  Using the overheads as storage areas is a serious safety and fire hazard.  To ensure our safety, the C/M and C/E will be conducting an inspection of the overheads after the fire and boat drill tomorrow.
