Captain's Log

July 3, 2006

The ship continues south South east on a course of 142 degrees at about 9 knots and we have found the sun. The wind has stopped and the sun is out and the weather is much warmer. The ship was a flurry of activity outside and the painting crews got started, the trash burners were keeping the ocean clean and the many other ships duties proceeded with ever improved spirits of the crew. Warm weather and moving toward the first port is enough to keep most happy.

Yesterday in the afternoon we held our first man overboard drill to make sure our crew is prepared should the unlikely event take place. The drill went very smoothly even though it was our first and the sea was quite rough.

If you noticed a slight delay in our first “follow the voyage” we are sorry. We were having some minor connectivity issues. They appear to be solved and Email and “Follow the Voyage” should be appearing regularly.
