Captain's Log

The 4th of July has now come and gone and it is back to study, Navigation, engineering systems and day work. The overcast has also returned so the star shooters are having a harder time finding their targets.

Last night we made our first clock change by advancing all ships clocks 1 hour at 0200 to conform to Zone Description plus (+6). This cruise the ship is moving mostly north and south, but South America is set somewhat to the east of North America so by the time we reach Peru, we will be on New York time. In Zihuatanejo, we will be (+5) or two hours ahead of California.

The following wind has again increased and we are making very good speed with little effort on the part of the ships engine. This afternoon we rounded the corner at Cabo San Lucas.
