Captain's Log
July 6, 2006
The 4th of July has now come and gone and it is back to
study, Navigation, engineering systems and day work. The
overcast has also returned so the star shooters are having a
harder time finding their targets.
Last night we made our first clock change by advancing all
ships clocks 1 hour at 0200 to conform to Zone Description
plus (+6). This cruise the ship is moving mostly north and
south, but South America is set somewhat to the east of
North America so by the time we reach Peru, we will be on
New York time. In Zihuatanejo, we will be (+5) or two hours
ahead of California.
The following wind has again increased and we are making
very good speed with little effort on the part of the ships
engine. This afternoon we rounded the corner at Cabo San
Lucas.
