Captain's Log
July 16, 2006
Sunday at sea is for the most part, just
another day. Classes, watches and day work continue and the
galley serves 3 meals a day. However, this Sunday was a
little different as the weather was very good, not hot, but
very pleasant. Work on the ship had progressed well during
the week and most day workers got the afternoon off.
Classes also finished early. By early evening, students and
staff alike were gathering on the aft deck for fishing,
relaxing and for the BBQ.
The afternoon events were highlighted
by our weekly man overboard drill at 1500. The crew has
advanced well and the event went almost perfectly with
almost no guidance from the ships officers.
Tomorrow, back to work and the long day
routine.
