Longitude  -      129º- 06´ West

Speed  -           12.5 knots

The weather should start improving by tomorrow afternoon.  If it does, we may resume our Great Circle Route to Kobe, Japan.

Please do not be alarmed.  This is only the spray that we occasionally take over the bow.  The lookout was secured, from the bow, in the early morning hours.  As a precaution, we secured those weather decks (lower decks exposed to the seas) that are closer to the waterline.  We will secure all outside decks at dark (again, as a matter of routine) .

First Class Cadet Matt Pflueger works on his navigation in the wheelhouse of the Training Ship GOLDEN BEAR.

Cadets Pelham (on the left) and Rubio practice at the helm.
