International Maritime University Exchanges - Students

Cal Maritime has entered into exchange agreements with a number of Maritime Universities across the world (current list).  Because the agreements for exchange differ dramatically from institution to institution, it is imperative that the student begin the process far in advance of the application deadlines.  What follows is a list of materials, divided into four sections, that must be compiled and used as an application form to be filed with Lloyd Kitazono.  This application form should be kept in a folder which should contain the following information:

Checklist

I.  Academics

These materials must be completed and sent to the host university before anything else is completed.
___ Written statement of purpose
___ Official transcripts from CMA and all other colleges attended
___ Foreign Language Competency Form
___ Faculty Recommendation Forms
___ Credit Transfer Agreement Form

II.  Finance and Admission

___ Letters of invitation and acceptance from host university
___ Evidence of overseas housing documentation (photocopy or email)
___ Evidence of tuition payment (photocopy or email)

III.  Health

Records from Health Services including:
___ Statement from Physician
___ Emergency Treatment Form
___ Appropriate immunizations documents

IV. Travel Documents

___ Copy of Passport
___ Visa (if necessary)
