Admission Process Timeline for Students Applying for Fall 2013 | |
September 15, 2012 – December 12, 2012 | Best time for fall semester weekday campus visits |
October 1, 2012 - November 30, 2012 | 60 day application period – All admission applications submitted through www.csumentor.edu during this period will be considered for admission. After November 30, a few majors may remain open until all spaces are filled. New applications for Fall 2013 for all majors are now closed. |
Saturday, November 10, 2012 | “Preview Day” Saturday open house for prospective students |
| December, 2012 | Last month to take SAT or ACT for admission purposes. Scores must arrive by January 11, 2013. |
| January 1, 2013 - March 2, 2013 | Financial Aid Applications (FAFSA) for the fall can be submitted during this period |
| January 15, 2013 - April 26, 2013 | Best time for spring semester weekday campus visits |
| February 1, 2013 | Admission application notifications begin for Freshmen (Feb 15 for Transfer Students) |
| April 1, 2013 | Priority date to submit health forms and receive a medical review before May 1 if no additional medical information is determined to be necessary. The final deadline for health documents is May 1. |
| Saturday, April 13, 2013 | "Cal Maritime Day" Campus open house for admitted students and families |
| No later than May 1, 2013 | Deadline for admitted students to send Cal Maritime the (non-refundable) $500 enrollment deposit, Admission Acknowledgement Form, and health documents or fall space may not be available |
| May 4, 2013 | Last day to take the ELM or EPT placement tests if English and math proficiency are not demonstrated in other ways |
| June 1, 2013 | Last day to confirm if Early Start Program is needed and show proof of Early Start at any CSU campus (or equivalent remediating courses elsewhere). Cal Maritime's Admission Office will contact those who must participate in the Early Start program by May 15 and and give instructions on how to indicate which course(s) each student chooses to fulfill the Early Start requirement. |
