Who do I contact if I have questions about Moodle?
Students should contact their instructors. Faculty should contact Greg Crum for assistance.
Who do I notify if Moodle is down?
If Moodle is unresponsive, contact the Help Desk. If it is after hours or a weekend/holiday, send an email message to support@csum.edu. In the subject, please make note of the fact that Moodle may be down.
How do I login to Moodle?
The URL for Moodle is http://moodle.csum.edu
Login with your Cal Maritime network credentials at the upper right corner of the page.
Why don’t I see all my assigned courses in Moodle?
Moodle automatically pulls enrollment information directly from PeopleSoft/Oracle database as listed in Online Services http://www.csum.edu/os/.
So, first verify that all your assigned courses show up in Online Services. If they do not, please contact the student records office.
If your Online Services record is update, and it has been more than 24 hours since your course has been added, please contact the Moodle administrator, Greg Crum at gcrum@csum.edu. Please be specific as possible about the course you need to add to Moodle by listing the official course name and section number.
How can I getting started with Moodle and learn specific Moodle functionality?
To access step-by-step guides on specific Moodle functionality such as “how to upload a file” and “how to submit assignments”, you can search the CSU Maritime Moodle quickguides. Theses quickguides provide a comprehensive and searchable database of step-by-step tutorials for Moodle.

Are there any Video Tutorials for Moodle?
The CSU Chancellors office has provided free online training modules through Lynda.com. These are currently only accessible via computers on the Cal Maritime campus network.
