Atomic Learning

Atomic Learning provides training on over 110 of the most commonly used software applications, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite,Appleworks, GoogleDocs, and many more.

Atomic Learning breaks down each application into manageable tasks and explains each task with step-by-step visual instructions in one- to three-minute tutorials. You can view a tutorial when you have a quick question about a program you're using, or you can view a series of tutorials and master an entire application.

With our new subscription to Atomic Learning,Cal Maritime has the following benefits available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for faculty, students and staff:

  • Over 30,000 tutorials on more than 110 software applications
  • Workshops on topics such as blogging, podcasting, newsletter design, presentation and more
  • Over 500 new tutorials added to the site every 45 days
  • Self-assessment tools
  • Usage tracking displaying tutorials you previously accessed

The CSU offers over 300 online courses on topics such as communications, management, change, work lifestyle, service, leadership and a huge assortment of software applications including the Microsoft® Office 2010 library. 

The coursework also includes 7 professional certificate programs and many "mini" certificates.

 Safari Books at Cal Maritime

The Safari Books Online Library is provided free of charge through the California State University Library system. It contains a subset of 5,036 titles from Safari Books Online's overall content.Safari Books Online's on-demand digital libraries provide academic and library users potential access to over 16191 technology, creative, and business books from leading publishers.

It is currently only available while logged into the Cal Maritime Network.
