(VALLEJO, Calif. – January 6, 2015) – Cal Maritime spread some holiday cheer this season with its first ever Baking Spirits Bright program. Faculty, students and staff baked and decorated cookies that were packed and delivered to Faith Food Friday, an outreach organization in partnership with the food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.

Baked and bought cookies were delivered to the Administration Building, and on December 16 a cookie decorating party was held in the Dining Center. There was live holiday music, hot cider, and snacks for everyone who participated.

The event was organized by Vineeta Dhillon and Heather Cropper.
