(Vallejo, California – June 6, 2017) – Parents of college-bound high school students are invited to attend a free, college readiness series at Cal Maritime. The three-seminar series will include success stories from local graduates and importation information about financial aid, scholarships, and admission. 
 
Students are welcome to attend with their parents. Admission, parking, and refreshments are all free. 
 
Dates for the How to Get to College series are:
 
June 29 Part I: You Can Go to College 6-8 p.m.
July 13 Part II: You Can Afford College 6-8 p.m.
August 3 Part II: You Can Apply for College 6-8 p.m.

ABOUT CAL MARITIME
Established in 1929, California State University Maritime Academy is the only degree-granting maritime academy on the West Coast. Located in Vallejo, California, the campus serves nearly 1,000 students and offers undergraduate degrees preparing students for careers in engineering, transportation, international relations, business, and global logistics. The new oceanography degree program launched in the fall of 2020.
