(VALLEJO, Calif. – April 8, 2014) – As part of a University-wide commitment to environmental sustainability, Cal Maritime will become a signatory to the international Talloires Declaration.
The Declaration includes a ten point action plan for incorporating sustainability and environmental literacy in teaching, research, operations, and outreach at colleges and universities.
“Stewardship is an important aspect of life at Cal Maritime,” said President Tom Cropper. “We strive to be responsible stewards of our campus, our community, and our resources. Formalizing our commitment to environmental stewardship is an important and logical step for Cal Maritime.”
