About Cal Maritime
Located in Vallejo, California, California State University Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime) is a unique and specialized campus of the 23-campus California State University (CSU) system. Serving 1200 students, we are one of only seven degree-granting maritime academies in the United States — and the only one on the West Coast.
We offer bachelor's degrees in business administration - international business and logistics, facilities engineering technology, global studies and maritime affairs, marine engineering technology, marine transportation, and mechanical engineering, as well as a master's degree in transportation and engineering management. We also offer a number of extended learning programs and courses. We work closely with industry, government and the community to deliver additional resources in continuing education and training, research and job placement.
Our programs focus on intellectual learning, applied technology, leadership development, and global awareness. Cal Maritime students take part in at least one two-month summer training cruise on the Pacific aboard our 500-foot Training Ship GOLDEN BEAR, -- gaining a unique perspective on our increasingly global culture and economy. Cal Maritime's mission is to be a leading educational institution recognized for excellence in the business, engineering, operations, and policy of the transportation and related industries of the Pacific Rim and beyond.
