CSU Senior Mathematics Courses

 

EAP Senior Year Mathematics Course (ESM)

 

Description:

     Intended only for CA public high school seniors with CAASPP Mathematics score of "Standard Met" majoring in STEM fields

Outcomes:

  Successful completion with minimum C- grade fulfills UC A-G area "c" (mathematics) course requirements and results in upgraded status to "Ready" for GE math/quantitative reasoning (area B4) upon admission to the CSU
 

Prerequisite:

  Earn minimum C- grade in Algebra II or Integrated Math II

Educators:

  Registration for regional ESM professional learning workshops and course adoption available soon

 

EAP Quantitative Reasoning Course (EQR)

Description:

   Intended only for CA public high school seniors with CAASPP Mathematics scores of "Standard Met" or "Nearly Met" majoring in non-STEM fields
 

Outcomes:

  Successful completion with minimum C- grade fulfills UC A-G area "g" (elective) course requirements and results in upgraded status to "Ready" for GE math/quantitative reasoning (area B4) upon admission to the CSU
 

Prerequisite:

  Earn minimum C- in Algebra I or Integrated Math I and II if enrolling at CA Community College, or completion of UC A-G area "c" (mathematics) if enrolling at CSU
 

Note:

  The CSU will review area "g" quantitative reasoning course offerings, including the EQR, for possible statewide adoption as a senior course option (existing placement contingent upon intersegmental partnership agreements within the Napa-Solano County service area)
