2011 Local Counselors Day
for Educational Counselors from
the counties of Solano, Contra Costa, and Napa

This program has passed.

Please check back this spring for another event offered in early November, 2012.

7:15 am arrival to view cadet "Formation" or
7:45 am arrival for Breakfast

Program concludes at 12:00 noon

We invite you to spend a morning on the California Maritime Academy campus in Vallejo.  The program is designed to expose those who counsel high school and college age students to the unique education offered at "Cal Maritime."  We may be part of the CSU system of 23 campuses, but we are, in many ways, unlike any of the other CSU's.

Come see how an academy is different than a traditional college, why we boast a 94% employment rate, and have amazingly high average starting salaries after graduation. We want you to understand why we were just ranked by Forbes Magazine as California's #1 "Best Value" in higher education and 18th Best Value nationally.  We look forward to seeing you at this free event.

The program will include attending cadet "Formation" (optional), a complimentary full breakfast, introductory presentation about Cal Maritime, cadet-led tour of our campus, Training Ship GOLDEN BEAR as well as our simulators, and finally, a student panel.

  • We recommend you arrive at 7:15 am to observe our cadet Formation at 7:30 am
  • If you plan to skip Formation, please arrive at 7:45 am to begin the program at the 8:00 am complimentary full breakfast
  • The program will conclude at 12:00 noon

If you do not see the reservation form below, please click on this alternate link to a partner website that we also use. You can then fill out the form - and press the submit button.
