Transferring into International Business and Logistics


Summary of Major 
Semester by Semester Curriculum - BS

 

"Are lower-division transfer students allowed to apply for this major?"

 
No. For Fall 2017 applicants and beyond, only upper-division transfer students (those with at least 60 transferrable college semester units or 90 college quarter units at the time of enrollment) can be admitted to this program. A completed Associates Degree is not required for admission.
 

Upper Division Transfer Student Admission Requirements

 
  • 1. Complete at least 60 semester units (90 quarter units) of transferrable work by the time the student plans to enter Cal Maritime
  • 2. Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and
  • 3. Be in "good standing" at all colleges attended (such as not being on suspension or probations). 
  • 4. Take and pass with a "C-" grade or better the following courses:
    • English Composition (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A2)
    • Any college level math course (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement B4). A pre-calculus course is highly recommended. 
    • Critical Thinking (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A3)
    • Oral Communication (categorized under CSU General Education requirement A1)

Fall, 2017
 

"When can I apply for Fall 2017 and how? 

Apply ASAP for the for spaces that remain open. The major could be closed to new Fall 2017 applications at any time. Apply online at www.csumentor.edu. There is a $55.00 application fee required when you submit the online application. Official academic transcripts from all colleges attended are also required.
 
 

"Is this major connected to the Associates Degree for Transfer (ADT) in Business agreements between the CSU and certain California Community Colleges?"

Yes. Students who graduate from community colleges on this linked web page with an Associates Degree for Transfer (ADT) in Business Administration will only need to complete 60 more semester units at Cal Maritime to receive a BS in Business Administration - International Business and Logistics. Other AA degrees at those same community colleges do not carry the same benefit.
