Yes. A recent policy change now allows transfer students with any number of units to apply for this major.

Lower Division Transfer Student Admission Requirements

 

    • 1. Meet high school admission requirements described on this page.
    • 2. Complete from 1-59 semester units (89 quarter units) of transferrable work by the time the student plans to enter Cal Maritime
    • 3. Have at least a 2.0 cumulative college GPA
    • 4. Be in "good standin"g at the last college attended (such as not being on suspension or probation). 
    • 5. Take and pass with a "C-" grade or better the following courses:
      • English Composition (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A2)
      • Any college level math course (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement B4). 

Upper Division Transfer Student Admission Requirements

 
  • 1. Complete at least 60 semester units (90 quarter units) of transferrable work by the time the student plans to enter Cal Maritime
  • 2. Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and
  • 3. Be in "good standing" at all colleges attended (such as not being on suspension or probations). 
  • 4. Take and pass with a "C-" grade or better the following courses:
    • English Composition (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A2)
    • Any college level math course (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement B4). A pre-calculus course is highly recommended. 
    • Critical Thinking (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A3)
    • Oral Communication (categorized under CSU General Education requirement A1)

"When can I apply for Fall 2018, and how?"

You may submit your application at www.calstate.edu/apply. There is a $55.00 application fee required when you submit the online application. Official academic transcripts from all colleges attended are also required.
 
 

"Is this major connected to the Associates Degree for Transfer (ADT) in Business agreements between the CSU and certain California Community Colleges?"

Yes. Students who graduate from community colleges on this linked web page with an Associates Degree for Transfer (ADT) in Business Administration will only need to complete 60 more semester units at Cal Maritime to receive a BS in Business Administration - International Business and Logistics. Other AA degrees at those same community colleges do not carry the same benefit.
