Thank you for your interest in applying for the Residence Hall Officer (RHO) position. Being an RHO is an opportunity for Cal Maritime cadets to be leaders in their residential communities, making a difference in the lives of the students they serve.
Online applications will be available Friday, November 16, 2018 and will be due Friday, January 11, 2019.
Qualifications of a Residence Hall Officer
INDIVIDUAL INTERVIEWS: Applicants will be asked to complete an individual interview with the Housing & Residential Life Professional Staff and current student staff members. Candidates will sign up to schedule an interview. The interviews will be held February 4th – February 8th, 2019. After the application deadline has passed, candidates will receive email notification from Office of Housing & Residential Life on how to schedule an individual interview during the week of February 4th – February 8th, 2019. Mandatory Business Professional or Salt and Pepper wear is mandatory.
GROUP PROCESS: Selected applicants must attend the group process day. Any applicant who does not attend may be eliminated from the selection process. Mandatory attire is business casual. Group Process will be held Saturday, February 9th, 2019 from 9:00am-12:00pm.
FINAL STATUS: Applicants will be notified of the Selection Committee's final decision on February 22nd, 2019. All notifications will be via your Cal Maritime student email. Notifications will be before room selection.
Applicants, if selected, must turn in their signed offer letters to the Office Housing and Residential Life in Upper Residence Hall by March 1st, 2019 at 4:00pm. Failure to return the acceptance form will result in forfeiture of the offer for the RHO role.
