National Suicide Prevention Week 2016
Did you know that, in the United States, more people die by suicide (50% more!) each year than by homicide? Experts believe that most suicidal individuals do not want to die. They just want to end the pain they are experiencing. When suicidal intent or risk is detected early, lives can be saved. September 5th through September 11th is National Suicide Prevention Week. Please join Cal Maritime in supporting suicide prevention. Together we can reduce the number of lives shaken by a needless and tragic death.
