Registration Information:

  • Permission numbers

If you wish to add a course to your schedule once school starts, you will need a permission number.  Permission numbers are a one time, course/section specific number that allows you to add to a course that has an open seat, or in which an instructor has agreed to exceed the normal course size.  It is recommended that you contact the instructor via email.  If you have not heard from the instructor prior to the first offering of the course, attend class and talk with the instructor to ascertain if room is available.

  • Class Requisites

"Class" requisites are temporary requisites built on "class of", major, sub-plans, or a students' divisional assignments.  These special requisites are placed on courses to hold seats for a particular group of students.  Class requisites are placed/removed from particular courses and/or course sections on a schedule determined by the Department Chairs.

  • Waivers of Pre-Requisite/Co-Requisite (to include Class-requisite)

Waivers of Pre-Requisit/Co-Requisit forms may be submitted to the Office of the Registrar on August 29, 2016 – first day of instruction.  You will also need a permission number from the course instructor.  https://www.csum.edu/web/registrar/students
