Student achievement and student success are often defined in many different ways: at Cal Maritime, achievement is the accomplishment of one's goals. Success is the fulfillment of certain conditions necessary to reach those goals. Thus, achievement is arrived at by a string of successes. Simply put, a student achieves academic success by performing well in courses, completing all coursework in the proscribed length of time, and attaining fulfilling employment after graduation.We use multiple instruments and methods to measure and analyze how well our students perform, both in and out of the classroom, as well as how prepared they are for the workforce.
