The Port of Los Angeles Harbor Cup Cal Maritime Invitational Intercollegiate Regatta, hosted by the Los Angeles Yacht Club, is a world-class collegiate racing event. It is the only big boat (offshore boat) intercollegiate ocean regatta held on the west coast.

Participating teams are selected from a large field of hopeful applicants, Since its founding in 2008, the Harbor Cup has hosted 154 varsity sailing squads from 20 different institutions and over 1,320 varsity athletes and coaches.
