(Vallejo, California – February 21, 2017) – Representatives from Cal Maritime will present a Super Sunday program at Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church this Sunday. Service time is at 11:30 a.m. at the church, located at 900 6th Street in Vallejo. 
 
Now in its 12th year, Super Sunday focuses on improving preparation and graduation rates of African American students. 
 
James Dalske, dean of student development, will speak at the service. Other representatives from Cal Maritime will be on hand with materials about all aspects of the University and to take questions from prospective students and their families.
 
Previous Super Sunday programs this year were held at Old Patch Miracle Cathedral Church of God In Christ and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Vallejo, as well as St. Stephen CME Church in Fairfield.
