ABOUT
Dr. Nipoli Kamdar has been at Cal Maritime since 2010, progressing from Associate Professor to her current role as Professor and Chair of the Department of International Business and Logistics.
Kamdar’s scholarly contributions span a diverse range of topics, including the political economy of trade and immigration legislation, tax evasion, 99-cent pricing, , and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She has published in several peer-reviewed publications and has presented at numerous domestic and international conferences.
Happiest when teaching, she has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at Cal Maritime, including First -year Seminar, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Maritime Economics, and International Transportation Economics. She has received multiple recognitions for excellence in teaching, most notably the International Accreditation Council for Business Education’s Excellence in Teaching Award and Cal Maritime’s Outstanding Teaching Award.
Dr. Kamdar currently serves on the Board of Commissioners for the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), where she is in her second term as a Commissioner. In addition to her IACBE role, she has held several leadership positions at Cal Maritime, including Director of Faculty Development, Co-Chair of the Unity Council, and Vice-Chair of the Faculty Senate. In recognition of her service contributions, she received the Cal Maritime award for Outstanding Service and the California State University Enhancement of Educational Experience Award.
