Business Administration Minor

A minor in business provides students with a broad understanding of key business concepts and helps students develop problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.  The minor can also equip students with practical skills that are highly valued by employers, such as analyzing financial statements, managing inventories, assessing risk, etc.

In addition to the general requirements for earning a minor at Cal Maritime, and to receive a transcript notation of having completed the specific requirements for a minor in Business Administration, the student will have completed a minimum of 15* units from the following curriculum:

*A minimum of 6 units in the minor must be different from any course counted in the major.

** Course substitutions to the above requirements are to be considered by the minor advisor and department chair only upon written request from the student and documentation of comparable experience.

Law Minor

Our very unique minor in law allows undergraduate students to gain a basic understanding of the legal system and how it affects individuals, businesses, and society.  Having a foundation of legal knowledge is helpful in applying to law school, and the knowledge gained is also valuable to any student interested in careers that involve working with legal and regulatory issues, or really anything business related.
