California State University Maritime Academy is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
In 2021, the Nautical Institute issued accreditation for the Dynamic Positioning Induction course offered within the Marine Transportation program.
The Marine Transportation program is in full compliance with the requirements of the International Convention of the Standards for Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1995 (STCW) as administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.
