Female Grooming Standards
- Professional and Balanced Natural Color
- Headgear will fit properly, without distortion or excessive gaps; hair will not show from under the front of headgear
- Hair will not protrude from opening in back of ball cap, except in bun or ponytail, which will be centered on the back of the head
- Lopsided and extremely asymmetrical hairstyles are not authroized
- Angled hairstyles will have no more than 1½ inch difference between the front and the back lenght of hair; layered hairstyles are authorized in smooth and graduated appearance
- Bangs will not extend below the eyebrows
- Shaved portions of the scalp are not authorized
- Hair lengh may touch but NOT fall below a horizontal line level with the lower edge of the back of the collar.
Braids
All braids must be twisted into a bun or secured to the back of the head so as to not extend three inches beyond the collar.
Single strand french braids may be worn starting near the top of the head and braided to the end of the hair. The end of the braid must be secured to the head and braid placement shall be down the middle of the back of the head.
Two individual braids, one on each side of the head and uniform in dimension (no larger than one inch in diameter), may be worn. Each braid shall extend from the back of the head near the lower portion of the hairline.
Multiple braids (3+) may be worn. Each braid must stard at the front of the head and extenx to the end of the hair. Each braid shall be of uniform dimension, small in diamenter, no more than ¼ inch, and tightly interwoven to present a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance.
Ponytails are only authorized in tracksuit or PT gear.
Buns
Buns will be neat and, with the exceotion of bangs, will not to loose of thouch the face.
Hair bulk (minus the bun) as measured from the scalp will not exceed two inches. The bulk of the bun shall not exceed three inches when measured from the scalp and the diameter of the bun will not exceed or exttend beyond the width of the back of the ehad. Loose ends must be secured.
Cosmetics
May be applied in good taste so that colors blend with the natural skin, eye, and lip colors. Exaggerated or faddish cosmetic styles are not authorized with the uniform and shall not be worn. Care should be taken to avoid an artificial appearance. Eyeliner will not extend pas the natural corner of the eye. False eyelashes shall not be worn.
Fingernails
Shall not exceed ¼ inch measured from the findertip. They shall be kept clean. Clear or nude nail polish may be worn. All other colors are prohibited.
Jewelry
Rings - One ring per hand is authorized. Rings are not permitted to be worn on the thumb.
Earrings - One earring per ear, centered on the earlobe, may be worn. Earrings size may be up to ¼ inch in diameter.
Body Piercings - Shall not be worn in uniform.
Necklaces - Only one necklace may be worn, tucked into the shirt.
Bracelets - Only one bracelet may be worn on the wrist. No ankle bracelets may be worn.
Wristwatch. Only one watch may be worn (on opposite wrist of bracelet)
