The Department of Safety & Risk Management supports the entire campus and all organizations and programs associated with Cal Maritime. The Mission of the Department is to provide both a collabortative approach as well as an independent and objective assurance designed to enhance and improve the University's operations. The SRM aims to assist the Cal Maritime to accomplish its objectives by applying a systematic approach to evaluating and assessing risk management, controls, compliance mechanisms, and stewardship processes.SRM principal focus is to mitigate risk potential and establish controls that are intended to prevent incidents that could negatively affect individuals and the institution, its finances and its standing in the community. We strive for excellence through continuous improvement strategies.

 

Annual Compliance Reports: Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy, Fire Safety Report, and Campus Safety Plan

Pursuant to the Clery Act and Califorina State law. The Annual Security Report and the Campus Housing Fire Safety Report are due annually by October 1 and include crime statistics for the prior three calendar years. The Security report is provided below. The annual Campus Safety Plan is due by December 31 and includes crime statistics for the prior twelve months and crime prevention and safety programming planned for the next year. View the annual Campus Safety Plan.
