Semester-by-Semester Curriculum
Fall 2021 for this major - apply between October 1, 2020 and March 15, 2021 at www.calstate.edu/apply.
There is a $70.00 application fee required when you submit the online application at www.calstate.edu/apply. You will need to enter all your college courses in the application. Official academic transcripts sent to our office from all colleges attended are also required.
Lower-Division* Transfer Student Admission Requirements
- Meet high school admission requirements described on this page.
- Complete fewer than 60 semester units (90 quarter units) of transferrable work by the time the student plans to enter Cal Maritime
- Have at least a 2.0 cumulative college GPA in transferrable coursework
- Be in "good standing" at all colleges attended (such as not being expelled, on suspension, and on probation).
- Take and pass with a "C-" grade or better the following courses:
- English Composition (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A2)
- Any college-level math course (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement B4).
* Transfer students bringing in fewer than 60 transferable college semester (or 90 quarter) units are considered "Lower Division" transfer students
Upper-Division* Transfer Student Admission Requirements
- Complete at least 60 semester units (90 quarter units) of transferrable work by the time the student plans to enter Cal Maritime
- Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA in transferrable coursework
- Be in "good standing" at all colleges attended (such as not being expelled, on suspension, and on probation).
- Take and pass with a "C-" grade or better the following courses:
- Oral Communication (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A1)
- English Composition (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A2)
- Critical Thinking (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement A3)
- Any college-level math course (fulfilling CSU General Education requirement B4). A pre-calculus course is highly recommended.
* Transfer students bringing in 60 or more transferrable college semester (or 90 quarter) units are considered "Upper Division" transfer students
