Transfer Applicant Information

Admission Requirements

Lower-Division Transfer (students with fewer than 60  semester or 90 quarter units transferable to Cal Maritime)

  • Meet high school admission requirements described on this page.
  • Complete fewer than 60 semester units (90 quarter units) of transferrable work by the time the student plans to enter Cal Maritime
  • Have at least a 2.0 cumulative college GPA in transferrable coursework
  • Be in "good standing" at all colleges attended (such as not being expelled, on suspension, and on probation).
  • Complete with a "C-" grade or better the following courses:
    • English Composition (CSU General Education requirement A2)
    • Any college-level math course (CSU General Education requirement B4)

Upper-Division Transfer (students with 60 or more semester or 90 or more quarter units transferable to Cal Maritime)

  • Complete at least 60 semester units (90 quarter units) of transferrable work by the time the student plans to enter Cal Maritime
  • Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA in transferrable coursework
  • Be in "good standing" at all colleges attended (such as not being expelled, on suspension, and on probation). 
  • Complete with a "C-" grade or better the following courses:
    • Oral Communication (CSU General Education requirement A1)
    • English Composition (CSU General Education requirement A2)
    • Critical Thinking (CSU General Education requirement A3)
    • Any college-level math course (CSU General Education requirement B4). A pre-calculus course is highly recommended.

Yes.  It is connected to the ADT in Business Administration.  Students who graduate from California community colleges on this linked webpage with an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) in Business Administration will only need to complete 60 more semester units at Cal Maritime to receive a BS in Business Administration - International Business and Logistics.  Other associate degrees at those same community colleges do not carry the same benefit with this major.
