Transfers into Oceanography

Summary of Major

Semester-by-Semester Curriculum

Fall 2021 for this major

Apply between October 1, 2020 and December 4, 2020 at www.calstate.edu/apply. There is a $70.00 application fee required when you submit the online application. Official academic transcripts from all colleges attended are also required.

Students with any number of college transfer units can be admitted. Note that only the first 70 community college semester units (105 quarter units) can be used toward the total needed for graduation. Any remaining community college units can fulfill specific requirements but not add to the total number of units required for graduation.

The time to graduation will depend on the equivalency of courses transferred into Cal Maritime.  However, transfer students should plan to spend at least two years at Cal Maritime completing this degree.
