The Department of Culture and Communication oversees the Writing Program at Cal Maritime. Our faculty teach beginning, developing, and advanced composition, critical thinking, and professional communication skills in courses specifically geared to support students' achivement at Cal Maritime as well as wherever their working lives take them. Our faculty understand the special requirements of Cal Maritime majors as well as the unique environment of Academy life. Cadets completing CSU or major requirements through C&C courses have the full support of Cal Maritime's dedicated writing and tutoring programs as well as the specialized faculty that only C&C can offer.
