Senior Director of Academic Technology | jteoh@csum.edu

My name is Jase Teoh, and I am the Sr. Director of Academic Technology. I am privileged to be working alongside a group of committed and talented teams that are invested in the empowerment, education, elevation, and effectiveness of service to the CSUM campus community. Prior to joining CSUM, I was the Director of AT at CSU, Stanislaus-responsible for transitioning the entire campus from Blackboard to Canvas among other initiatives (during the pandemic). My area of responsibilities at CSUM are: Academic Technology (LMS), Classroom Technology, and Simulations. In my spare time (whenever that is!), I truly enjoy being out in nature (hiking), reading, sipping coffee, traveling, yoga, eating (foodie), watching movies, shopping, and tinkering/learning new things (from leadership to organizational development to esports to metaverse to VR) --dreaming and thinking about what is possible in highered and beyond.

Audio and Visual Lead & Simulation Technician | abowling@csum.edu

Let’s go, do si do, I’m Andrew Bowling. I’ve been boot scootin’ in many parts of Cal Maritime initially as helpdesk support staff working on many projects, routine helpdesk requests and sailing out with the T.S. Golden Bear in 2014, 2016, and 2018. In Fall 2018, I leapt at the opportunity to hogtie loose ends for simulation when the need arose for experienced technical support. Riding that bucking bronco was not for the faint of heart, but with faculty support, Cal Maritime has seen much success bringing simulation support up with the demands of both a pandemic and changes in how simulation is used to enhance learning.

Now I work closely with the Academic Technology team, as Simulation and AT Consultant, leading the Audiovisual Support staff, too. I hold a B.F.A. New Media from the University of North Texas, where I started as technical support for the infamous U.N.T. College of Music while learning an array of skills that continue to be the foundation of what I do to this day.

Outside of Cal Maritime, I support collaborative consumption, upcycling and battling dynamic obsolescence.
