Welcome to Financial Services

Financial Services at California State University Maritime Academy is a dedicated, customer-focused department providing essential financial and accounting support to students, faculty, and staff. Our mission is to uphold the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and integrity while supporting the university’s educational goals and operational success.

What We Do

The department is organized into two main areas: General Accounting and Student Financial Services.

General Accounting is responsible for managing and organizing university-wide financial transactions. The team prepares accurate financial reports and ensures compliance with the requirements of the CSU Chancellor’s Office and the State Controller’s Office. Their work supports campus leadership with timely data to guide strategic and operational decisions.

Student Financial Services, which includes the University Cashier and Accounts Receivable teams, maintains accurate student account records, processes payments and refunds, applies financial aid disbursements, and supports students in understanding and managing their financial responsibilities. Our team is committed to providing clear, responsive, and helpful service throughout every student’s academic journey.
