Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is located in the Student Health Center
and offers counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, mental health assessment,
education, prevention, outreach, and linkage to community resources at no additional
charge to Cal Maritime students. CAPS provides assistance to students experiencing
a range of concerns, including personal, academic, interpersonal/relationship, family,
social, and other psychological difficulties.
- Just a reminder that CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) is available to
assist you with confidential counseling from minor worries to significant concerns,
as well as concern for a friend or shipmate). We are integrated with the Student Health
Center and work with your medical team to help cadets/students to maintain and attain
health and wellness goals.
- CAPS services are free of charge.
- Counseling is not a barrier to licensure.
- 1 in 5 students meet with a counselor each year.

CAPS counselors are available M-F 8:30-5. We have a Virtual Drop In hour 2-3 pm daily.
Currently, counseling is available via Zoom or telephone.
